Although we’ve visited before, we’ve never actually stayed at Fakenham Racecourse . . but now we have, we’ll be back – its a really great place to stay.
Fakenham – town centre and market
Time for a meander into the town of Fakenham from our pitch at Fakenham Racecourse campsite – and its market day, what a treat!
Fakenham Racecourse – first rally 2012
We’re off to the wilds of Norfolk for the Gobur Owners Club AGM rally – its our first rally of the year.
Chris also getting set for an arguement with the local Morrisons – time to make a complaint to the management!
Wheelchair conversion
. . . A bit off-topic for my Caravan Diary, but I had the chance of filming someone’s professionally done motorhome modification, and decided to show you the outcome.
Similar kinds of work can be carried out on caravans, so its worth watching . .
Spring Travels 5: St Neots – campsite and town
St Neots campsite makes a good stopping off point on the A1, or a good base for a look around the eastern part of Cambridgeshire – its also a interesting town, in its own right , , and was the home of the only man to have ever assassinated a British Prime Minister!
Spring Travels 4: Coventry + moving
Our last outing from Warwick Racecourse – a short drive to the outskirts of Coventry, then hop onto the Park n Ride bus . . then its time to move on!
Spring Travels 3: on the buses!
For most of us, fuel cost is an increasing concern that we have to be aware of – so while we’re at Warwick Racecourse campsite, just 10 minutes from the bus station, its time to get aboard!
Spring Travels 2: Warwick
It’s our second campsite on this trip – the very charming and well-situated Warwick Racecourse site, operated by the Caravan Club in the centre of the course itself. Its small, neat, and friendly!
Spring Travels, part 1!
Its the middle of April, the sun has been shining for at least an hour, and Chris is itching to hitch up and head out!
So they’re off to the midlands for a couple of weeks, and the first stop is Houghton Mill, between St Ives and Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire.
Peewit campsite and my home town!
It’s the middle of April, and we’re hitching up and rolling away for a caravan break tomorrow, but first I thought I’d share my favourite hometown sites with you. It’s in a odd location – but I wouldn’t be surprised if, like me, you love it!
